Otherwise Klinton couldn't have balanced the budget (at the end of the Reagan expansion years I might add). If we are to fix SS - which is only a way of saying we must all take less or pay more, then we must change how we look at government. Government is the use of force to take, nothing more. We must each look to take less. Immediately raise the age of benefits to 68. Then 70. Means test the recipients. Etc. The idea of SS as a trust was always a farce.
